Display Fees:
All accepted artists are required to pay a Display Fee for each piece of artwork juried in.
Fees are $37 per piece, due by October 1, 2020.
Art Drop Off:
Tuesday, October 13 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Please bring the PINK copy of your Art ID Form(s). Each piece of accepted work must have the YELLOW copy attached. Art may be dropped off by a designate if you are unable to come that day.

Show Design:
Please note: Art will be displayed at the discretion of the Show Designer.
Biographies:
Provide three (3) copies of a 1-page biography on 8 1/2″ x 11″ (single-sided) for the Artist Bio binders located in the exhibition hall. Please provide additional copies for each accepted piece for the Sales team to give to buyers.
Artist Pass:
This year exhibiting artists will receive an Exhibiting Artist Name Tag as their Artist Pass. The Pass is your invitation to the Opening Night Celebration and Artists Reception, including one guest, Thursday October 15. Your Pass admits you to the Saturday Evening Event, October 17 (no guest) and gives you unlimited free entrance to the Show. Artists will receive their Pass at Show In-Take, October 13.

Artist Demonstrations:
Exhibiting artists are encouraged to demonstrate their skills and techniques to the general public during Show hours, Friday – Sunday, October 16 – 18. Demonstrations are scheduled in 2-hour blocks starting at 10:00 am each day. Contact us at info@sfas.artsea.ca including your name, medium and preferred time(s).

Preview of the 2020 Show
Saturday Soiree
Saturday, October 17 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
All exhibiting artists are invited to meet Show visitors and other artists, enjoy dessert and coffee and listen to jazz duo Kent & Rae performing their mix of jazz standards.
Free for exhibiting artists only with Artist Pass. Guests of artists will be required to pay entrance fee of $8 per person at the door.
Sales:
- A 25% commission will be applied to all sales.
- PST will be collected at point of sale.
- If you are registered for GST, the Sidney Fine Art Show assumes you have included this in the price of your artwork. Artists are responsible for remitting GST to the Canada Revenue Agency on their art sales.
- All credit card transaction fees on sales will be paid by the Sidney Fine Art Show.
- Cheques will be mailed to artists within 3 weeks of Show closing.
- The Sales team will do their best to notify artists only if all their works have sold.
Pick Up of Unsold Artwork:
Sunday, October 18 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
If you are unable to pick up your artwork at this time, please make alternate arrangements for a designate to retrieve your work. The Sidney Fine Art Show cannot hold or store artwork that is not picked up on Sunday. Artwork not picked up will be left at Mary Winspear Centre at the owner’s risk.
Volunteers
The Show is organized and run entirely by volunteers. If you would like to join our team, please volunteer. There are lots of jobs to choose from. Your generous donation of your time is greatly appreciated.

The funds received from entry fees, display fees and sales commission help offset the cost of presenting the Show and supports art and cultural programs on the Saanich Peninsula.
